Party Planning Fever

Time flies so fast! Gelo will turn 8 months on May 26. I still have 4 months to prepare for his 1st birthday. I'm already panicky because I still have lots of stuff to do in preparation for his birthday.

I want his 1st birthday to be memorable and really special. Aside from celebrating his milestones as he reached 1 year old, it's also a thanksgiving party for us. We have a lot of things to be thankful for - for me having a safe and normal birth, for giving birth to a precious healthy baby boy and that he has grown to be a happy and healthy baby.

I officially started planning for Gelo's 1st birthday when he reached 6 months. I already have a theme in my mind for his birthday party when I was just pregnant. I really wanted to have a Disney Cars theme party. So right after he turned 6 months I already started making my research and preparations for his 1st birthday.

For almost a month I've been thoroughly researching about my theme. I'm such a research-addict! I scoured both international and local websites for ideas, decors, invites, party favors, loot bags, cake and cupcakes design, etc. I also did some research on hottest trends on kiddie birthday parties and found out that a dessert buffet is definitely a big hit to both kids and kids at heart! Since I have a sweet tooth, I totally want to have these on Gelo's party.

Every night and day I just kept on thinking about Gelo's party - how I want the decors, souvenirs, games, program and most especially the food to be. I want his 1st birthday party to be special, to be memorable and also I want it to be a blast but still on budget. Having the best party does not mean to spend lots of moolahs. There are millions of ways of having a successful and unforgettable party and receive lots of compliments from guests without breaking the bank!

The solution to this is to Do-It-Yourself party favors and decorations. By this, you're going to save lots of bucks and your work of art is also a labor of your love for your kiddo. I'm excited with my party DIY's, this would be my first time. I'm going to have tons of diy projects. I'm crossing my fingers that it would turn out well.
